Your greatest overall success:

When children feel excited and passionate about sustainability, it means the message isn’t just being taught—it’s being embraced. That enthusiasm will stay with them, shaping their habits and perspectives well beyond their time at school. Seeing them take ownership of eco-friendly initiatives, as well as spending their own time making posters and sharing their fantastic ideas with the school community, shows how deeply engaged they are. It’s incredible how you’ve fostered such a positive environmental culture. Well done for the brilliant work done on your school grounds this year as well!

• Tailoring learning experiences to engage different age groups means that the message resonates more deeply and becomes a shared responsibility across the whole school. Whether it’s younger pupils exploring nature through your trip to Acresfield Gardens, or older students diving into more complex environmental topics such planting bulbs as well as creating detailed fact files about planting, adapting lessons ensures that everyone is involved in shaping a greener future.

Hands-on experiences, make learning both fun and meaningful. The variety of activities in your Action Plan not only spark creativity and independence but also instil an early awareness of sustainability. It was also great to see accountability and monitoring and evaluation clearly marked in your Action Plan. Great work!

• Keeping the school community informed through posters, social media, assemblies, and the Eco-Board ensures that sustainability remains a visible and engaging priority for everyone. By sharing updates in multiple ways, they’re inspiring more people to get involved and take action. • Your passionate petitioning of a local MP was super impressive! It's amazing that you got young people involved in addressing a variety of different issues with your local MP - we are excited to hear how this turns out and what responses you receive in the coming months!
